  • Responsibilities

    Seeking a System Administrator to provide assistance to Engineer and Technical staff with the day-to-day operations of IT Network equipment in support of the AGC operations.  This is a full time opportunity located at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington DC. The role becomes available with award anticipated January 2019.


    What you will be doing:

    • Assist with the management of the LAN and O&M tasks
    • Report to the Sr. Engineer and shall perform other PWS duties and tasks as required by the program
    • Provide (LAN/WAN, Cybersecurity, and facility operations) technical support (Network Administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, track/reporting, design, installation, integration, configuration, of LAN/WAN, and hardware/software)


    Qualifications for the primary System Administrator:

    • 15+ years Sys Admin experience and IAT Level II certification
    • Maintain ANSI and IAT Lev II Certification
    • Clearance required: current Secret Security Clearance
    • Strong IT experience with Network Administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, track/reporting, design, installation, integration, configuration, of LAN/WAN, and hardware/software.
    • Experienced with MS 2012 Server, VM, NetApp Fabric-Attached Storage (FAS), Data Management Storage, CISCO Switch hardware, Active Directory, Network Share Access Control List, Windows Firewall, Port Management, McAfee, DISA Secure Host Baseline and other applications
    • Network backups and Troubleshooting experience
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
    • Data management and report capability skills
    • Effective writing and communication skills
    • Demonstrated strong organizational skills
    • Demonstrated problem solving skills

    Desired Skills:

    • Capability supporting multiple roles and levels of responsibility
    • Familiarity with NMCI and WAN HD/SW
    • Familiarity with VTC, Audio, Video
    • Ability to support 24th hour events in rare event occasions
    • Familiarity with room presentation equipment (TVs, VTC, Computers, etc).
    • Logistics (inventory control, administrative functions)
    • Knowledge of Risk Management Framework/Certification and Accreditation
