  • Responsibilities

    Seeking a Senior Engineer / Analyst to serve as a Lead IT SME to manage and support technical staff responsible for providing: LAN/WAN, Communications, VTC support, and technical support. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for the IT operations at Conference Center facilities in support of Naval Conferences and special events.  This is a full-time opportunity that is located at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC.  It becomes available upon contract award anticipated on or about January 2019.


    What you will be doing:

    • Function as Technical Lead (TL) and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for systems engineering, information technology, and technical documentation.
    • Serve as an operational lead on Information Technical (IT) projects and operations; workforce management; and oversight and management of contract performance and deliverables.
    • Report to the PM and handle duties and tasks/productive labor that support the Program and operational tempo.



    Minimum Requirements:

    • Advanced degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or bachelor’s degree and 15+ years relevant experience. May qualify with technical certificates and credentials with 20+ years experience.
    • Meet experience requirements and maintain IAT Lev II Certification
    • Possess current Secret Security clearance
    • Strong IT experience with Network Administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, track/reporting, design, installation, integration, configuration, of LAN/WAN, and hardware/software.
    • Experience with Microsoft OS, VM, MYSQL, McAfee, DISA Secure Host Baseline and other network applications
    • Be self motivated and able to lead a team of technical staff (LAN/WAN technicians, Cybersecurity, and facility operations)
    • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
    • Data management and report capability skills
    • Effective writing and communication skills
    • Demonstrated, strong organizational skills
    • Demonstrated problem solving skills

    Desired Skills:

    • Capable of supporting multiple roles and levels of responsibility
    • Familiar with NMCI and WAN HD/SW
    • Familiar with VTC, Audio, Video
    • Be able to support 24th hour events in rare event occasions
    • Familiar with room presentation equipment (TVs, VTC, Computers, etc).
    • Logistics (inventory control, administrative functions)
    • Knowledge of Risk Management Framework/Certification and Accreditation
