  • Responsibilities

    Seeking a Principle Engineer / Program Manager who will provide Project Management support and lead a team of eight technical staff members providing: LAN/WAN, Communications, VTC support, and technical support. The Principle Engineer will be responsible for the operations of Conference Center facilities in support of Naval Conferences and special events.  This is a full time position located at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC.  The position becomes available upon award anticipated on or about January 2, 2019.


    What you will be doing:

    • Planning and managing information technical projects and operations and tasks in support of the program
    • Workforce management
    • Overseeing and managing contract performance and deliverables operating with full authority on behalf of the Contractor on all contract matters relating to daily operation of related services


    Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

    • Advance Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or Engineering field with 8+ years relevant experience, OR Bachelor Degree and 15 + years experience
    • Current Secret Security Clearance required
    • Strong IT services management background and event planning/coordination experience
    • Experience with MS Project and/or planning applications
    • Personnel management experience in support of IT, communications and facility management experience
    • Self motivated team leader of technical staff (LAN/WAN technicians, Cybersecurity, and facility operations)
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
    • Data management and report capability skills
    • Effective writing and communication skills
    • Demonstrated, strong organizational skills
    • Demonstrated problem solving skills

    Desired Skills:

    • Capability to support multiple roles and levels of responsibility
    • Familiarity with Navy Programs and Military Ranks and Protocols
    • Ability to support 24th hour events in rare occasions
    • Familiarity with room presentation equipment (TVs, VTC, Computers, etc).
    • Logistics (inventory control, administrative functions)
    • Knowledge of Risk Management Framework/Certification and Accreditation
