    Security risks are everywhere and pose not only threats to our national defense, but financial systems and business infrastructure. Help the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) realize one of their key objectives modernizing and securing their information technology infrastructure to support operations across the enterprise.  As a Vulnerability Analyst - Knowledge Management Specialist with IOMAXIS you will be an integral member supporting Cyber Security Administration and Operations Support (CSAOS) Services for USDA, Forest Services (FS). Join us in a full-time capacity from Kansas City, Missouri.  This position becomes available upon contract award anticipated February 2019.  Now interviewing.


    Duties assigned to this role include:

    • Working with the applicable enterprise Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), as well as Architecture and Integrated Engineering Services (IES), in determining risk to the FS enterprise.
    • Supporting the identification outcome necessary for remediating risk, including potential risk from operating in a Cloud environment
    • Working with enterprise security scanning and SME’s to verify the remediation action.
    • Performing Vulnerability Management for the FS environment, reporting on changes to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) frameworks or other USDA requirements.
    • Partnering with key stakeholders, ensuring timely remediation, mitigation, and generation of Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M) actions or acceptance of risk.
    • Supporting the collection of information for the monthly remediation status report inputs , along with summary of on-going issues and metrics, to the Project Manager (PM), in support of the Monthly Performance and Progress Report (MPPR).
    • Defining requirements for vulnerability reports and coordination with USDA Agriculture Security Operations Center (ASOC) regarding requirements for automated reports.
    • Supporting the transition from manual vulnerability tracking to the use of automated tools, including Splunk SIEM and RSA Archer. 
    • Creation of presentations, as needed by customer, regarding topics such as: the FS Vulnerability Management Program, Risk Management of vulnerabilities, changes to the program.  
    • Maintaining Vulnerability Management program documentation, reflecting changes to the program or policy.
    • Developing analysis reports for Management, addressing accomplishments, risks, issues and mitigations.
    • Conducting detailed analysis of vulnerabilities as needed.
    • Supporting the development of the weekly status reports for vulnerability management activities



    • Six (6) years of direct, related experience
    • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree
    • DoD Directive 8570.01M, Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II  Certification (CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP)
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communications skills
    • Possess or be able to obtain a position of Public Trust clearance
