Responsibilities

IOMAXIS is actively seeking a Remedy Software Developer to support client operations in Arlington, VA.  This is a full time position available now.
 
What you will be doing:
 
  • Installing, configuring, upgrading, customizing, migrating and maintaining the BMC Remedy ITSM 9.x application, to include the ITIL-based processes for Incident, Problem, Chaactive, and Asset Management.
  • Working individually and on teams in the development, implementation and support of Remedy ITSM software.
  • Providing direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development, and implementation of Remedy ITSM software solutions.
  • Directly interfacing with customer working groups on Remedy ITSM development and integration issues. 
  • Supervising, coaching, and developing junior staff.
  • Developing and preparing Remedy ITSM related documentation, gathering specific information related to the project and applicable technical material.
 
 
 

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
 
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.  In lieu of bachelor's degree, an additional two years of direct experience is required.
 
Skills and Experience:
  • 6 years of direct experience and knowledge in development and customization of BMC Remedy Action Request System (7.x, 8.x, and 9.x) and ITSM suite.
  • Experience with the design, implementation, and Remedy ITSM deployments, upgrades and/or migrations. 
  • Experience with implementation of Remedy CMDB and able to make recommendations for CM process and policy. 
  • Experience creating/modifying workflows and application configuration for helpdesk trouble ticketing, incdient, problem, change, and asset management.
  • Experience in foundation data configuration and process configuration of BMC Remedy ITSM.
  • Experience migrating data and workflows using Remedy Migrator and Remedy Import/Export tools.
  • Experience with the promotion of code and functions across environments (development, test, production) as well as in COOP required environments.
  • Familiarity with Remedy deployments on Oracle based databases. 
  • Proven ability to maintain, develop, and train staff and customer on the use of Crystal Reports.  
  • Experience with creating and updating project and implementation plans for Remedy ITSM transitions and upgrades. 
  • Proven ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve defects and issues encountered during various stages of project delivery, including during the deployment and implementation of the solution as well as overall maintenance of the systems. 
  • Ability to provide training and guidance to other staff in the administration of the production Remedy environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communciation skills

Clearance:

  •  Minimum active Top Secret clearance

Desired Skills:

  • ITIL v3 Foundation certification
  • BMC Remedy ITSM certifications 
  • SmartReporting experience
